About

I’m Payal, a born and bred Londoner and an English Language and Literature student at King’s College London. Even though I have a Gujarati background I have, up until now, mainly identified myself as British.

This is a blog about a trip – ‘Gyanodaya Express III’ – that I went on with Delhi University to explore India via train. I lived, journeyed and sweated by the bucket-loads with 900 Indian students, and I want to share some of the experiences I’ve had whilst visiting Delhi and some of the regions of Punjab such as Chandigarh, Amritsar, Ludhiana, and the Wagah Border (the India-Pakistan border). It’s a blog about India as much as it is about me learning about myself through these places.
